Financial Education
Paying for school, made clear.
Your training is an investment in a licensed career. Here's how veterans and their families can use VA education benefits, what flexible payment options look like, and the state resources you'll use from your first day to your license renewal.
VA Education Benefits
Served our country? Your benefits can cover a new career.
Expert Barber Beauty Academy is approved for VA education benefits. GI Bill® benefits aren't just for college: eligible veterans, service members, and family members can use them for non-college degree programs like barbering and cosmetology, paid on the clock hours you train.
Depending on your benefit, the VA may help cover tuition and fees, plus a housing allowance and money for books and supplies. Talk to us before you enroll and we'll help you line up the right benefit for your program and campus.

How to Use Your Benefits
Five steps from application to your first day.
Check your eligibility
Review which VA education benefits you qualify for at VA.gov, or call the VA education line.
Apply with the VA
Apply for education benefits online at VA.gov. Veterans and service members use VA Form 22-1990; eligible family members use VA Form 22-5490.
Get your Certificate of Eligibility
After the VA processes your application (usually about 30 days), you'll receive a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) showing which benefits you can use.
Bring it to enrollment
Bring your COE along with your state-approved ID, Social Security card, and completed application. We'll guide you through the rest.
Train and stay on track
Once you're enrolled, the school certifies your enrollment with the VA. Keep up your attendance and progress to keep your benefits active.

Your records are protected
As required by TDLR and the VA, we keep student records for 5 years. The training hours you earn are tied to your Social Security number and follow you for the rest of your career, even if you change schools.
